Fantastic activity

This was so much fun to do with my kids, ages 15 and 10, that I bought two more for friends with children. It was easy enough to do and we were thrilled with the results - it looked amazing! Highly recommend.

So much fun!!

Bought this for my boyfriends birthday “cake”. The kit provides easy to read written instructions and a video tutorial. The video helps a lot! Took me about all day to finish. (Had to remold the bowl). Don't be shy with the cornstarch! More the better. Overall, great purchase for a fun baking day!!

Making

My son’s number one request for his birthday was a realistic cake. I was able to pull it off with this tutorial and kit. Materials were great! Easy to work with and tasted good. Liked having both written and video tutorial. Had fun having people guess which cereal bowl was the cake. Very happy customers!

So much fun, really well put together, just a few tweaks

The Cereal Bowl Cake Kit and Tutorial is so lovely! It really make it easy to make a lovely, silly looking cake. I did this with my 6 year old niece and she had a ball. Remember y'all, the end result is _VERY SWEET_, with icing and modeling chocolate in a high ratio to cake ;)

We hiiiighly recommend this cake kit <3

One tweak to the recipe that I remember is after cutting the lip of the bowl maybe suggesting cornstarching that "raw" edge or the work surface in order to prevent sticking. After we released the chocolate bowl from the mixing bowl and put it in the fridge to harden up it stuck to the work surface and we had to wedge it off, marring the edge and squishing the shape a little.

Another we haven't figured out a solution for is how to prevent the bowl of batter from rolling in the oven, unless we missed something it seemed like the steps just had us putting it in and hoping gravity kept it level. However the cake must have starting rising unevenly, which cause the bowl to tilt to one side, which cause it to rise more unevenly, which cause it to tilt more, etc etc to where it nearly fully tilted over. There was still enough that we could level the cake and have a nice surface but it meant the cake didn't fit as snuggly into the choco-bowl and there was less of it in the finished cake.
